DySP Ganapathi suicide case BJP protestef for KJ George resignation : Congress demands arrest of min Eshwarappa
Congress urged the minister Eshwarappa tobe arrested and prosecuted on the contractor Santosh Patil's suicide as it was the provocation of minister, Uttara Kannada District Congress district spokesperson K Shambhu said.
In a statement to the media he said that, Santosh Patil, an activist of the BJP, allegedly carried out nearly four crore works in the Panchayat Raj department. However, Santosh had complained to the Prime Minister and Home Minister in a letter saying that, that he was being tortured by Minister Eshwarappa for the 40 per cent commission clearing the bill.
Against this backdrop, during the last session of the assembly oppositions were repeatedly demanding the resignation of minister Eshwarappa on the allegation of BJP government's 40% commissions. Now in his death letter, written by the deceased Santosh Patil, Minister Ishwarappa has allegedly instigated the death as the minister was responsible for his death.
The BJP, which has been campaigning statewide for the resignation of then Minister George in the DySP Ganapathi death case when the Congress government was in office, is now trying to escape is shamefull. Own party worker is being tortured for not giving himself a commission. Ishwarappa, who was responsible for his death today, should be arrested immediately. The district Congress is demanding an impartial investigation into the case.
